Increase search rank in Country specific Google Search. |
Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Better geographic choices for webmasters
now gives your blog the chance to appear in country-specific Google search results. For instance if you have a blog in Russian you would want it to appear in the search results when viewers search Google.ru. If you have a blog in Hindi you would like it to appear in Google.in searches.
To do this go to Google Webmasters Tools and after you have verified your blog and added it, click on Tools heading in the sidebar and then on 'Set Geographic Target' subheading and check the radio button to Associate a geographic location with this site. Then select your Country, Street address, City/Town/State and Zip and Save. If you are targeting the whole world select 'Do not associate a geographic location with this site' and Save.
At the moment this feature can associate your site with a single country and location only. If no information is entered here then geographic associations will be made largely based on the top-level domain (e.g. .co.uk or .ca) and the IP of the webserver from which the context was served.
Google Docs Presentations In Blog. |
Google has introduced presentations feature in it's Google Docs and Spreadsheets package. Now you need not use other methods of putting presentation in your blog.
You can organize, share, present, and collaborate on presentations, using your web browser. You can publish them and send the URL to friends. I was able to create a presentation in a jiffy and................
though at the moment there is no code given by them to embed it in your blog page, I used the <iframe> tag to put it in this page :
You can click on the arrow at the bottom to see the next slide. As you can see it has all features of any other presentation. You can upload images to it. There are a number of themes available to choose from. To see it fully in your browser go to :
Google Presentation
Though I didn't see some features like slide transitions they will possibly be included later on. To create your own go to Google Docs and click on New----->Presentation. You can also import your existing presentations from your PC (.ppt or .pps) files upto 10MB. When presenting it participants are connected through Google Talk and can chat simultaneously through the sidebar at the right.
More Information can be obtained here : Official Google Blog: Our feature presentation: "easily organize, share, present, and collaborate on presentations, using only a web browser."
How To Increase Google SearchRank? |
Google Page Rank is the star and everyone talks about how to increase it. However it is updated at long intervals of three to four months or even later. What is more practical is for the site to come first in the results page returned by Google to queries from viewers. When your site/blog comes up in the first few results then there is a rapid rise in traffic to your site..........WHAT IS SEARCH RANK?
When a viewer enters a word or query in a search engine box it returns thousands of sites which have that word in them. Typically viewers will only see the first few pages and click on the first few links only. Your Search Rank is the number of your site in the list which appears in the Search Engine Result Pages (SERPs).
This rank depends on what keyword has been entered in the search box. When you optimize your site for a keyword it will rise in the list and appear in the first few pages. This is known as Search Engine Optimization (SEO). CHECKING SEARCH RANK
You can check the Search Rank of your site for a particular keyword by entering that word in the search box of any engine and counting how many positions your site is from the top in the results returned.
You can also check your Search Rank for a particular keyword at Speedtester HOW TO INCREASE SEARCH RANK?
1. Titles should contain your keywords. Research your keywords properly before applying them.
2. Put keywords in metatags.
3. Put your keywords in post titles and in bolded headings within the post.
4. Use keywords in alt tags for images. Use lists within your posts.
5. Make your post titles into readable links by enabling post pages in Settings---->Archiving.
6. Submit sitemap to Google.
7. Ping all the search engines after publishing a post using Multipinger sites.
8. Get site code validated for XHTML and CSS.
9. Make your site faster to load by putting less posts on the main page. Settings------>Formatting------->Show __ posts on main page.
10. Lastly SEO should be undertaken after all content has been added to the site and is a cyclical process without an end.
Google and Technorati PageRanks Compared. |
Google Page Rank and Technorati Rank of a web page are the two main indexes used to judge web page quality. Another index is Alexa Rank. We have already seen the methods used to increase Google Page Rank. We have also seen the importance of Technorati Rankings for blogs. It is essential to compare the two ranking systems to understand how they work and what are their advantages and disadvantages.........METHOD OF CALCULATION
Google PageRank is calculated using a complex equation. See Table below for full equation. Technorati Rank is calculated based on the number of links from other blogs.RANK NUMBER
Google PageRank is a number from 0 to 10. Technorati Rank is a number calculated on basis of total incoming links and can vary from 3 to4 million to 1. An increasing number is good for Google Rank but not so for Technorati RankUPDATE TIME PERIOD
Technorati Ranking is usually updated as soon as Technorati receives a ping from the page with a link to your page. Google Page Rank is usually updated every three months but may take longer.WHERE TO CHECK
You can check Google Page Rank by downloading the toolbar. Technorati Rank is checked at Technorati.comTIME LIMIT
Technorati Page Rank has a limit of 180 days. Hence your Technorati Rank will start dropping after this period if no new blogs link to you . Google Page Rank may drop due to other reasons but backlinks do not expire. Hence domains with an older age have a higher rank.OTHER FACTORS
Internal links affect Google Page Rank but not Technorati ranking. Increasing blog content increases Google Page Rank while having no effect on Technorati ranking. Outbound links decrease Google Page Rank while having no effect on Technorati Rank.
How To Increase Google PageRank? |
Google Page Rank is a quantitative measurement by Google of the importance of a website. Google uses a complex equation to arrive at a value for the rank of a page. The higher the rank the better your site is visible among the billions of sites out there and better are chances of people finding your site..............WHAT IS GOOGLE PAGE RANK?
Google Page Rank is a number between 1 to 10 given to a web page which shows the importance of that page. It is also calculated for the whole site. Thus your blog is given a Page Rank and each page within your blog is also given a Rank.It depends on the number and quality of other pages linking to your page.
It is calculated by a complex equation which is beyond the scope of this blog. To see the pagerank download the Google Toolbar. You can also download a Firefox extension which shows the page rank in the bottom frame of the browser.TIPS TO INCREASE YOUR PAGERANK
1. Increase your content and get it indexed and crawled by Google. The more original content and pages your site has, the higher will be the pagerank of your site. Update site as frequently as possible with quality content.
2 Put text navigation links to all your pages on the home page. This can be done in the New Blogger with the Archive widget using the Hierarchy module which provides titles of all your pages. In your blog Settings------>Archives------>Enable Post Pages----->Set to Yes and ------>Save Settings. This will give each post on your blog it's own page. Every time you create a post you will create a new page. Do not have page URLs with numbers and question marks (dynamically loaded pages).
3. Link to your home page from every page in your blog. This is done by making your blog header clickable to the home page.
4. Link to other pages in your blog from every other page. Put links to other pages with reference to context in your articles. Since each page does not exist in isolation from the rest of the blog. Any new visitor to your blog page may not have visited your previous pages to understand the full story. Provide links to them so that anyone can quickly visit them to understand more details of what you are talking about.
5. Put outgoing links on another page with a low page rank and not on your home page which has a higher rank. Putting them on your home page will bleed the higher page rank to other sites. For example on Blogger you can put your Blogroll on the post pages using Conditional tags.
6. If you want to put links on the home page yet prevent them from leaching your page rank you can put them in a link list widget and add the rel='nofollow' tag to the code. This will prevent Google spiders from following the links but your visitors can still click on them and visit the other sites. To do this login to Dashboard and click on Layout. Then click on Edit Html subtab of Template tab. First backup your template. Then put a check in Expand Widgets Template box atthetop and scroll down to following code in your Link List widget :
<li><a expr:href='data:link.target' target='_blank'><data:link.name/></a></li>
AND CHANGE IT TO :
<li><a expr:href='data:link.target' rel='nofollow' target='_blank'><data:link.name/></a></li>
Save Template.
7. Get linked from high Page Rank sites/pages. If someone promises you a link make sure he/she is not using the above tricks and putting your link on an inside low page rank page. Also the page with your link should not be a link farm with plenty of links. One way links are better than reciprocal link exchanges. Links from sites with the same subject as your site are better than links from irrelevant sites.
8. Submit your sitemap to Google. Register your site at Google Webmaster Tools.
9. Free Tools/Graphics/Templates when distributed with a link to your site will give your site a higher Page Rank due to all those inbound links. A prime example is statcounter.com whose Page rank is 10 (highest) because of those links from counters installed in millions of blogs. Distributors of free Wordpress templates also have a high page rank. Submitting articles to article directories also has a similar effect.
10. Last but not the least : Let your money do the talking - Pay for inclusion in high page rank directories or purchase links on high page rank pages.CHECK YOUR GOOGLE PAGE RANK
You can check your blog page rank and even the page rank of your individual posts. Just copy and paste your blog url or your post url at the boxes provided at any of the sites here and press Enter.
NOTE : A higher page rank does not mean that your site will automatically appear on the first page of the search engine result pages (SERPs) returned by Google. That is decided by Search Rank and will be the subject of my next post.
Also I will be comparing Google Page Rank and Technorati Rank in another post.
Enable Search for Blog Pictures. |
You have posted pictures in your blog, but they cannot be found via Google Image Search. Perhaps you have a photoblog and would like for people to find your blog by searching for your photos.......
Google offers enhanced search for images contained in your site, including advanced labeling techniques for images hosted by Google. If you want the images in your blog to be search enabled Google will use tools such as Google Image Labeler to associate the images included in your site with labels that will improve indexing and search quality of those images.
To have your blog pictures searchable via Google's Image search first you will need to submit your site to Google Sitemaps. To do this head over to Webmaster Tools - Sitemaps. Copy and paste your blog URL in Add Site box at top and click OK. Details are specified in How to Submit site to Google. The next page which opens is the Summary Page for your site showing all the statistics. Click on the last link in the sidebar which says 'Enhanced Image Search'. See picture below :
On the next page check the box for "I would like to enable enhanced image search on my site and am authorized to opt into this advanced service." and click on OK.
If you want to improve the quality of Google's image search results then head over to Google Image Labeler. You will be randomly paired with a partner who is using this feature and over a 90 second period asked to label images. When your labels match you will be given points and the next image will come up. If you are logged in you can keep track of your points, but you can also do this anonymously or with a nickname.

Google Groups Tips and Tricks for Bloggers. |
Google Groups is a simple, reliable service for managing and archiving mailing lists and here are some tips and tricks for bloggers using this service.........
Google Groups is a free service which helps groups of people communicate effectively using email and the Web. Every group has a home page hosted by Google where members can start new discussions or reply to older topics. Every group also has its own email address to help its members stay in touch with each other. Members can read and search all public Google Groups content, including more than 1 billion postings from the Usenet bulletin board service, dating back to 1981. Every group has its own Google-fast search, making it easy to find discussions locked away deep in your group's archive.
To create your own group go to http://groups.google.com OR http://groups-beta.google.com and click on Create a Group. Name your group, and fill out the other required info. Add the email addresses of the people in your group. Select the option to automatically add members or to send invitations. You can add multiple email addresses by going to Manage------>Add or Invite Members. Copying and pasting an existing list of email addresses into this form is one easy way of populating your group. Click "Done." Google will send notifications or invitations to your group members. In your blog go to Settings------>Email------->BlogSend Address----->Type in the email address of your group.-------->Save Settings. Your blog will be mailed to the group address whenever you publish and the group will send it to all the members of the group.
After each member joins go to Management Tasks------>Manage Members------->Edit each member, so that each member can receive an email fro the Group. You can even set the comment notification address in Settings----->Comments as the Group Email Address. Then all members will also receive new comments made on the blog.
To promote your group click on Manage in the top bar of the group. Then click on promote in the line 'Get a promotion box for your website' which is last line in the About this Group box. You can get a button for your page as below

You can join a group by going to the group's homepage and clicking the blue "Join this group" link just under the group name near the top of the page. From here, just choose how you want to read the group's content, enter a nickname, and click the "Join this group" button.
For Help on Blogging join Blogger Help Group. Some Tips on utilizing this group effectively :

Mumbai Marathon Map Pedometer. |
The Mumbai Marathon will be held on 21 st January 2007. For marathon afficionados and fitness enthusiasts and those training for the Mumbai Marathon here is a way to map the route and see how many calories you will spend....... Technorati Tags:mumbai marathon, gmaps, pedometer, google, google map,
For doing this we will use an online pedometer which uses Google Maps to measure distances and also gives the amount of calories spent. There is also an elevation profile (only for US maps at present). The route can be measured in Kilometers or miles. After measuring out the route you can save the route as a webpage and send the link to your friends. You can use this site to measure your daily morning run or evening walk anywhere in the world.
You can zoom in and see the details on the route or zoom out to see the route in its entirety. To do this use the zoom and pan tool at the upper left hand corner of the map. Click on the plus sign to zoom in and the minus sign to zoom out.
To start go to Gmaps Pedometer. The default map shown is of North America.
Click on Image for larger view
Click on the map and drag to navigate on the map to your city (in this case Mumbai). The top of the map has four options :Map, Satellite, Hybrid and Topo. Click on the Hybrid option on the top of the map. This is because Google does not have road maps for all the cities.
Click on Image for larger view
Using the vertical slider at the top left corner of the map zoom in till you come to the maximum magnification possible. This lets you see the roads and buildings. When you have identified your starting point choose whether you wish to record the distance in miles or kilometers. See Image below where I have zoomed into the start of the Mumbai Marathon at Chatrapati Shivaji Terminus at Mumbai India.
Click on Image for larger view.
Turn on the mile markers and turn on the calorie counter after entering your weight.. Choose the elevation if you are mapping a route in the US..
When you are ready Click on the Start Recording Button.
Go to your starting point on the map and double click on the starting point. A starter marker appears at the location. Doubleclick on the next point on the route and a red line appears linking both the points. The map moves to center itself on the new point. Continue in this fashion along the route and a red line marks out the whole route. Markers are placed along the route and the distance and calories are counted as you progress. At any time along the route you can backtrack at any point by clicking on Undo last point button. See Image alongside where I have mapped out the whole Mumbai Marathon. You can see the whole route for yourself by going to Mumbai Marathon Map.. For a larger view drag the vertical slider at the top left corner of the map downwards. To zoom in drag it upwards. To scroll the map in any direction click on the arrows at the top of the left corner or just click and drag on any area of the map surface. Here are more images of the route :

Click on Images for a larger view.
After finishing the route save it by clicking on Save Route. The route is saved as a webpage. You can send this link to anyone. In this manner you can map out your daily morning run anywhere in the world.
Pinging Simplified. |
Pinging is a process of attracting the search engines for indexing your blogs.... Technorati Tags:backlinks, google, ping, search engines, technorati, yahoo
A Blog is a special type of website which has dynamic content constantly being updated as opposed to a static website. A static website's content does not renew itself constantly. Hence it is difficult to attract the search engines repeatedly to index the site. It may take upto two months for a static website to get indexed while blogs are indexed almost immediately. Blogs, because their content constantly renews itself attract the attention of search engines like Google and Yahoo.
Ping is the process by which a blog notifies a search engine that new content has been added and the search engine responds by sending its spiders which are automated bots or programs which crawl the site and index its contents. You can automate the ping proces s by going to Settings----->Publishing------->Notify Weblogs.com------->Yes------>Save Settings. You can also ping multiple search engines with one click at Autopinger.com or Pingoat.com or Pingomatic.com.
You can ping feedburner at http://www.feedburner.com/fb/a/ping.
You can ping Technorati at http://www.technorati.com/ping. To get Yahoo to index you faster create a My Yahoo Account. After publishing a post ping the search engines with the URL of your post and not the URL of your blog.
At the bottom of your My Yahoo click the Add Content link. In Find Content box clickon Add RSS by url link next to Find Button. In the next window paste your Beta blog Feed url into the text box and click Add.
The URL of your beta blog's feed is
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?alt=rss
Substitute your actual blog name instead of 'yourblogname' in above links. This will add the content of your blog to the My Yahoo page and Yahoo will send its spiders across faster. To ping Yahoo faster go to http://www.technobloggie.com/ping-yahoo.cfm. Type in your blog url and click on Create Yahoo ping code. A URL link is generated. The link will be of this type :
http://api.my.yahoo.com/rss/ping?u=http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/
Bookmark this link in your browser and at the end of publishing any post just click on this bookmark to ping Yahoo.
Pingback is a process by which Web authors request notification when somebody links to one of their documents. Blogger does not currently support pingbacks or trackbacks.
Blogger instead has the Backlinks feature which enables you to keep track of other pages on the web that link to your posts. For example if someone else posts on a topic similar to yours and links back to your post then your post will automatically show a link to the other post. To enable Backlinks go to Settings------>Comments----->Backlinks------->Show--------->Save Settings. These links are shown under the posts with the title "Links to this Post" next to the Comments link. Google Docs and Spreadsheets can be embedded in your Blog. To do this......... Technorati Tags:docs, google, spreadsheet
go to http://docs.google.com/ and login with your GMail Account. You will see the Welcome Screen where click on New Spreadsheet. In the next page Click on Continue button in Get Started with Google Docs and Spreadsheets. This will lead you to the spreadsheet page where you create your spreadsheet.
After creating the spreadsheet save it. Then click on Publish in the upper right corner to open the Publish sidebar on the right side. Click "Publish now." (If the spreadsheet has already been published, and the publishing options are set to "manual," click "Re-publish" at this point). Click "More publishing options." A window will appear titled "More published formats." From the "File formats" dropdown select "HTML to embed in a webpage." Specify the parameters of the spreadsheet you'd like to embed (i.e. the whole spreadsheet, just one sheet, or a specific range of cells from one sheet). Click "Generate URL." A bit of code will be generated. Copy that code.
Login to your Beta Blogger dashboard. Click on Create Post under the blog in which you want to embed the spreadsheet. In the Post Editor click the Edit Html tab and paste the code in the window and Publish. If you wish change the width and height in the code to resize the spreadsheet. I have embedded a sample spreadsheet below :
Google Docs - Create a Google Doc by going to http://docs.google.com/ and login with your GMail Account. You will see the Welcome Screen where click on New Document. Create a new Document and save it. Then click on Publish in upper right corner. In the new window click on Publish to Blog. Choose your Blog Service Provider and type in your Blog Username and Password then click on OK..
In both the above cases you can publish the documents as standalone and you will be provided with their URLs which you can send to anyone for them to view the documents and even collaborate on them.
If you do not wish to embed these documents/spreadsheets in your blog you can provide the link to them in your blog. YOU CAN UPLOAD ONLY IMAGE FILES TO BLOGGER.
If you have created these files offline on your PC you can upload them to a freeserver like Googlepages and then provide their links on your blog. At present Googlepages offers 100MB free space for hosting any type of file.
Technorati in Blogger Beta. |
Technorati is the search engine for blogs and hence no blogger can afford to go without it in his/her blog................ Technorati Tags:atom, feed, google, ping, rss, search, search engines, tags, technorati
Google is the generalized search engine for the web. Technorati is a search engine which is specialized for blogs. Blogs in contrast to other web sites have ever changing content and Technorati focuses on them by searching them for keywords. Each blog is indexed and individually ranked among the 50 plus million blogs in today's blogosphere. The major differences between the two are outlined below :GOOGLE TECHNORATI Generalized Search Specialized Search Searches static, inactive Web Searches Dynamic Web No Focus Focuses on Blogs Infrequent visits to site Immediate indexing of content More sites to cover Less sites to cover increasing efficiency Covers World Wide Web Covers World Live Web
Just as you have to submit your site to Google and the other search engines you have also to 'submit' your blog to Technorati so that other bloggers/readers can find your blog in the blogosphere. Also by doing so you can analyze your blog traffic, backlinks and find out your blog rank.
To register with Technorati go to Technorai.com and click on Join link at the top or click here. After registering you have to 'claim' your blog which is like submitting your site. To do this go here. Claiming your blog establishes that you are the (co-)author of the blog and allows you to use other Technorati services to help increase the visibility of your blog.
During the claiming process Technorati will give you a snippet of code which you have to paste in a Html/Javascript Page Element in the sidebar. To do this go to Page Elements subtab of Template tab and click on Add Page Element in the sidebar. In the new window choose Html/Javascript option and paste the code in contents and save. Having done this go back to technorati and click on Verify so that Technorati spiders your blog. Automatic robots known as "spiders" are released by Technorati to discover content on your site and its feeds. Technorati uses RSS feeds to track updates to millions of blogs. After updating your blog or after every post you have to ping Technorati to let them know that fresh content has been added. It then sends the spiders to index the content.
Each blog you claim will be listed on the Your Blogs page. To make sure the world can see it on Technorati, click the "Configure Blog" button and check to make sure that "Include this blog in Technorati's Blog Finder" is checked. This includes your blog in its Blog directory.
Technorati receives alerts from the Blogger servers whenever a user updates his or her public weblog. To set this automated ping go to Settings---->Basic----->Add your blog to our listings----->Yes---->Save Settings. Blogger will now ping Technorati automatically whenever content is updated.
Technorati breaks up your weblog's home page into smaller sections such as posts and sidebars. You can help Technorati's spiders properly identify a unique post and its proper link destination by adding a link with a defined relationship of "bookmark" for each post. For example:
<a href="http://blog.bloghost.com/post1" rel="bookmark">Post title</a>
Technorati also uses tags to index your blog. A tag as a simple category name. People can categorize their posts, photos and videos with any tag that makes sense. For example if you have a post about films you can tag it with the tag 'film'. Another post about family matters can be tagged as 'family'. Thus you can have posts on various subjects within your blog all neatly categorized using tags. In Beta Blogger tags are called as Labels.
There are two types of tags recognized by Technorati. Post tags are tags added to your posts and they allow your posts to be listed in Technorati's tag search here. To add the tags, add the below code for each tag you'd like add to your post into the body of your post.
<a href="http://technorati.com/tag/[TAGNAME]" rel="tag">[TAGNAME]</a>
Publishing a tagged post in Blogger automatically pings Technorati about updated content. If your blog software supports categories and RSS/Atom feeds just use the included category system and make sure you are publishing RSS/Atom feeds and your categories will be read as tags.
Blog Tags are tags added to your blog on Technorati's Blog Configuration page here. These tags allow your blog to be listed in Technorati's Blog Finder and Explore feature.
Technorati indexes the home page of your weblog assisted by the content of your web feeds. If the home page of your weblog contains summaries or plain-text with no links Technorati may not recognize and index your full posts.
If you use the Atom syndication format to publish the content of your weblog Technorati can still index the full text of your post regardless of your content choices on your weblog home page. Just include your entire post within the content element of each entry and we will recognize this content as the full content of your post.

Google Video Search in Blogs. |
By putting Google Video Search in your blog you can enable your reader to search for videos without leaving your blog. He/She can view the videos in your blog and even upload their videos from your blog. Click below picture to enlarge it. Technorati Tags:google, google video, google video search
Above is a video of an octopus playing on my blog at Google Search Map site.
In your blog you will need a space for the Video Search Control. I have chosen the Minima template and given a float:left; property to the outer-wrapper so that I can locate the Google Video on the right hand side.
Your first step is to sign up for a Google API at : http://code.google.com/apis/ajaxsearch/signup.html With your key in hand, add the following three lines of code to your page or blog template. This key identifies your web site to Google and helps them track usage of Google Video. A new and distinct key is needed for each directory on your website that includes Google Videos.
Put a check in the box where it says I have read and agree with the terms and conditions and paste your blog url in the text box below and click on Generate API Key button.(Step 1)
Copy paste this code (ONLY THE BLUE LINES) just below the title tag in your template :
<script src="http://www.google.com/uds/api?file=uds.js&v=1.0&key=YOUR-KEY"
type="text/javascript">
IN THE ABOVE LINE ADD amp; AFTER BOTH THE & CHARACTERS OR YOU WILL GET ERROR MESSAGE.
Add your key number instead of YOUR-KEY.
<script src="http://www.google.com/uds/solutions/videosearch/gsvideosearch.js"
type="text/javascript"></script>
<link href="http://www.google.com/uds/solutions/videosearch/gsvideosearch.css"
rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>
In the second step define a place on your page for the search control (note: you can have more than one). This is typically done by defining a named <div> element as shown below:
<div id="videosc">Loading...</div>
Set some styling attributes on this element to constrain the width of the control, set a border or margin, etc. For example in your css put the following code :
#videosc {
width : 300px;
margin-left: 10px;
padding-top : 4px;
padding-right : 4px;
padding-left : 4px;
padding-bottom : 0px;
border : 1px solid #f9f9f9;
}
To override standard player dimensions add the following code just beneath :
.playerBox_gsvsc .player_gsvsc {
width : 320px;
height : 260px;
}
Next find the <body> element on your page and add an onload handler.
<body onload="OnLoad()">
Add the following scripts just before the </head> tags
<script type="text/javascript">
function OnLoad() {
var options = {
largeResultSet : true,
startupDelay : 100
}
new GSvideoSearchControl(
document.getElementById("videosc"), // container
defaultTags, // default tag array
loadTags, // optional load function
saveTags, // optional save function
options // optional options
);
}
function loadTags() {
var tagStrings = GSvideoSearchControl_JSON.stringify(defaultTags);
return tagStrings;
}
function saveTags(tags) {
//alert(tags);
}
</script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var defaultTags = [
{
query : "feed:top100",
label : "whatshot"
},
{
query : "big wave surfing",
label : "surfing"
},
{
query : "genre:comedy",
label : "comedy"
},
{
query : "mtv"
},
{
query : "christina aguilera type:music_video",
label : "christina"
},
{
query : "jessica simpson",
label : "jessica"
},
{
query : "vw gti"
},
{
query : "type:music_video",
label : "music videos"
},
{
query : "feed:top100new",
label : "whatsnew"
},
{
query : "ferrari f1",
label : "f1"
},
{
query : "toyota tacoma",
label : "mytruck"
},
{
query : "type:gpick",
label : "google picks"
},
{
query : "nascar"
},
{
query : "ads"
}
];
</script>
